OK, so I've been over the smileys section in the phpBB Usergide several times and it's unclear as to how exactly you upload external files (i.e. from your computer) as smiley packs.

I have a bunch of emoticons saved on my computer that I would like to upload to my forum. I have all these smileys in a .zip file. The part that I'm really unclear about is when it says to extract the folder to your smiley storage path. What this seems to imply is that you extract files from your computer to a URL... and that's not possible (or at least my computer tells me it isn't).

So did I miss a step here? Am I supposed to upload my .zip somewhere, and then extract it (but how I would extract the online version is beyond me as well).

I also downloaded the .pak file, but I don't know if that only applies to the currently installed smilies from the drop-down menu or what.

Is it even possible to upload external smilies?

Hi !

If you have smileys that are not available on forums yet you can send it to me by mail (see my e-mail address in my profile). I need gif files (or that zip file that contain all smileys. Send me what you have and I will upload for all forum's users.

You can't upload that files (from security reason), I will upload myself on the server after you will send me. Many smileys are allready uploaded see if you have different smileys to upload.

No problem for creating another thread, just not that these days I can reply with some delay (i'm very busy) but I will reply to all questions and mesages.

OK... I'm fairly sure some of the smileys I have in my folder are already on the forums, but the rest are not. I'll send them to you.

All files was uploaded on server ! I changed few file names because some was identical to my files before but the image was not the same.

Check to see that are ok !

If you have other files please send me to upload them for all forums.
