your forum have 90 days without any post and was suspended. Usualy i delete these forums and not put back online.

Be careful and try to post at least once at 30 days. If you post at more than 30 days it is a high risk to lose your forum !

In your Administration Pannel you have a User List feature. Use that to search by Active and Last activity users and sort them Ascending, And on the field "Show" you can put 500 value for example, and then mass delete users that you want, when you do that search it will show in general spam users (they are with last activity: never and posts 0). Anyway, be extracareful to not delete yourself or active members, because if you do that you can not restore what you have deleted.

Maybe as you saw in the last week the number of registered spammers was reduced, by some code that i have inserted into the forums.

I hope you can solve the problem Smile

Good luck and let me know if that worked fine for you !

Spam can be really annoying but I've noticed it decrease a lot on my forum since support added the new anti spam features.

There are a few ways to fight it.

One is to make your registration procedure more resistant to bots by enabling image verification and or set email validation on (user), so they have to validate their email before they post.

The above 2 methods will help against bots but won't stop most human spammers, for them you just have to keep a regular eye on your forum.

You can add ban filter words so that people cannot post words such as porn etc.

You can also set admin validation so users cannot post until you manually authorise them although this can be time consuming if you get a lot of sign ups.

lifttheveil - the main ideea is that now spammers can't even register on forums Very Happy (ofcours some can bypass, but only few)

-image verification can be bypassed by most bots, and offer a low protection.

Anyway spam it is less than what it was.

+ now admin's can delete very easy inactive members=spammers with only some clicks.
