|

It's easy to add a chat room to your forum. Just follow the steps:
1. Go to http://www.everywherechat.com/addchat.asp , customize your chat room and then click "Create Chat Room" button
2. In the next page copy the generated code - something like:
| Code: |
<script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript"src="http://irc.everywherechat.com:8000/Java/e.js?
room=Chat_Room_Name&width=520&ads=true&height=500&roomstab=true&
fontsize=12¶mfilename=embedded.prm"></script> |
3. Click the admin control link at the bottom of your forum to enter in administration panel
4. In the "Forum Admin" section click "management"
5. Make a New Category and name it what ever you want
6. Move it where ever you want
7. Then make a new forum and name it chat room
8. Lock it
9. Then put the generated chat room HTML code in the forum description. The code should be pasted on one line. If the javascript is broken up just remove the spaces.
And you're done!
Hope this helps _________________ Setup your FREE FORUM now !

| Is there a way to do it without having the chatroom on the front index page? I followed all the directions and it put the chat client right there on the from page. |

Thanks for the chatroom. This helps a lot!
I could include a million emoticons in this message. Two will do.

| yes me too, i was wondering if there is any way to add a chatroom actually inside a forum, so it is not on the homepage, so that it is only loaded if people want to visit the chatroom and not every time they go to the forum main page. i tried puttin the code meant for the description section into a post, i also tried putting it in url tags and it didnt work. any help would be excellent. cheers |

It just won't work for me. I created a new category, posted a new topic, put <scripttype="text/javascript"language="JavaScript"src="http://irc.everywherechat.com:8000/Java/e.js?room=Clan_X2_Chatroom&width=520&ads=&height=500&roomstab=false&fontsize=12"></script>
As the description, it just won't work. Any help..?
Now I edited it.
It is now:
<script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript"src="http://irc.everywherechat.com:8000/Java/e.js?room=Clan_X2_Chatroom&width=520&ads=&height=500&roomstab=false&fontsize=12"></script>
Like the generator told me to put. It is on 2 lines.
But it's a little buggy.
I would like it in the forum, so it doesn't have to be on the front page..I'll hit back when I try.
OK...I tried and still no success.
I am requesting the ability to post it in-topic.
Thanks. |
