Shalom,
I'm posting this from a cafe outside my office network, and so because recently in our office we installed the current version of McAfee's anti virus 2007 to help stem the tide of crashes the system has suffered from attacks by worms and such like.

The McAfee site Advisor list declines opening the Free-Forum.org page because as it advises browser security is at risk from the site.

This makes it difficult for me to work on my forum as if I reduce the security status currently set, I may subject my office computer to a risk of infection again.

What do you advice please.

Many thanks.

Hi !
I did not worked before with your antivirus to know his options. Maybe you have something in settings to set-up that free-forums.org is a trusted site. Really I do not know how to do to have acces.

Maybe it is an user that know McAfee settings and it will respond to this post or..... Idea you can send an e-mail to McAfee antivirus support to ask them how to acces a site (trusted site) without reduce security level. I'm sure they will give you a solution !

Thanks for answering. As you may observe, its on account of an holiday that I'm enabled to, outside my work environment to post you a reply.

I have a copy of the McAfee siteadvisor report but the images cannot be reproduced here{ Question } or I'd have pasted it up for your perusal.

McAfee may be gotten online and site approvals or disapprovals gotten from them I believe.

Shalom,
I've uninstalled McAfee from my computer and all sites are back to pre-installation levels.

I'm still working on the easons why the initial and subsequent replies, but I'm personally not satisfied with the results McAfee has given or its performance as far as this current version{}2007 is concerned.

Fingers are crossed so to speak... Idea Wink Very Happy

Shalom,

I'm glad that you solve in one way the problem. I told you , I can't help in this problem so much. Try installing another antivirus, or talk with the support staff of McAfee ,I think they will find a custom solution for you

Have a nice day
