I just started my board tonight and was doing really good setting it up...until I messed with styles. I accidentally turned my backround black and now I can't see anything  ...I can't even see the administrative button so I can go in and change it....what can I do? |

| its just like how u uplode an avatar frome off linking u get an image hoster, go to it uplode it then copy the link in it then go back to your site. Then go to rank and edit then add an image to the title by pasting the link this works with custum made pic's to. |

| i've done that, i hosted em on photobucket and then pasted the url in the image thing, but it doesnt work |

then the support team obviously has not added the mod or is going to soon , its probobly not coded into the systm yet

| also, i cant make anyone a moderator, i can only make them a user or administrator. How do i make someone a moderator, you know where there name is a different color and stuff |

you must go to permission's in admin user or make a group called moderators or something. Then give that group permission's then add people to it

well considering this was posted Sep 02, 2005, im guessing its never going to happen  because i too am having this problem with getting the ranks to show and ive uploaded the images from an image hoster and done it that way (but used imageshack instead of photobucket) and i too get a broken link.... can anyone shine some light on this problem for me?  |

Okay. Here's a little light, I think.
Read the form:

I think that "relative" bit means that the images need to have already been uploaded to a directory within your forum site. The avatars are in "images/avatars/yourforumname", the smilies are in "images/smiles" -- relative to your forum's root path (i.e. http://yourforumname.free-forums.org/)
Now, about being able to make a directory such as "images/ranks" and upload to it -- I dunno. Wish I did.
Edit: I think perhaps it is relative to the main Free-Forums root path (i.e. http://free-forums.org/). That being based on what you'll find in my next post.
